Crypto Scanner Pro — Effective Date: April 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Crypto Scanner Pro ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

        Summary: Crypto Scanner Pro does not collect any personally identifiable information. We do not require accounts, logins, or registration. All your alerts, watchlists, and preferences are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
    

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Anonymous Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data to improve app performance and user experience. This includes:

App open events (with dark theme preference)
Scan events (coin count, exchange name, scan duration, average heat score)
Feature usage (detail views, filter changes, exchange switching)
Error events (anonymized error messages, truncated to 100 characters)

This data is processed by Google Firebase Analytics and cannot be used to identify individual users. No names, emails, phone numbers, or IP addresses are collected.

1.2 Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

When the app crashes, an anonymous crash report is automatically sent to help us fix bugs. Crash reports include:

Stack trace (technical error information)
Device model and OS version
App context at time of crash (exchange name, coin count, multi-timeframe mode)

1.3 Feature Configuration (Firebase Remote Config)

The App fetches feature flags and configuration values (such as free tier limits and maintenance messages) from Firebase Remote Config. No user data is sent in these requests.

1.4 Subscription Management (RevenueCat)

If you purchase a PRO subscription, the transaction is handled by Google Play Billing through RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes:

An anonymous user identifier (generated by RevenueCat, not linked to your identity)
Purchase and subscription status

We do not have access to your payment details (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). All payment processing is handled by Google Play.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
Location data (GPS, IP-based, or otherwise)
Contacts, calendar, or SMS data
Photos, videos, or audio
Files or documents from your device
Browsing history
Financial or banking information
Health or fitness data
Exchange account credentials or API keys

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device using Android Room database and DataStore preferences. This data never leaves your device:

Alerts: Price alerts, heat alerts, smart alerts, and compound alerts you create
Alert History: Records of when your alerts were triggered
Cached Market Data: Temporarily cached candlestick (OHLCV) data for faster loading
Scan Settings: Your preferred exchange, timeframes, coin list, and display preferences
Subscription Status: A local cache of your FREE/PRO tier (for offline access)

Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally stored data.

All network communication uses HTTPS encryption. The App enforces certificate pinning in release builds for additional security.

5. Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions, each with a specific purpose:

6. Data Security

All network traffic is encrypted via HTTPS (cleartext traffic is disabled)
Certificate pinning is enforced in production builds
Sensitive local data uses Android EncryptedSharedPreferences
Cloud backup is disabled to prevent unintended data exposure
No user accounts or passwords are stored

7. Children's Privacy

Crypto Scanner Pro is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The App is a financial analysis tool intended for adult users interested in cryptocurrency markets.

8. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, most data subject rights (access, correction, deletion of personal data) are not applicable. However:

Analytics opt-out: You can disable Firebase Analytics data collection through your device's Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization)
Local data deletion: Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally stored data (alerts, settings, cached data)
Subscription data: Contact RevenueCat or Google Play for subscription-related data inquiries

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
